When I was invited to shoot at a secret abandoned church I didn’t hesitate one second in saying yes okay. It was quite a task getting into the location but if it was easy everyone would do it. I don’t usually shoot this kind of thing, I leave it for the editorialists but a bit of variety is always welcome. Here are a few of my frames
For the shot at the top I used an Elinchrom Quadra on output B at minimum setting with the head into a 70cm soft silver umbrella as the key light, a bare faced Speedlight as a kicker and one more Speedlight to lift the distant background. I could have done with three Speedlights for some frames because a Speedlight at 1/32nd power is about the same as the Quadra on minimum power and to be honest I could have done with even less light. So I moved the Quadra back a metre or so and it did the trick for level.
